SNAP Food Stamps Back on Track: See Your December Payment Schedule by State

After more than a month of chaos from the 43-day government shutdown, SNAP benefits are finally returning to their normal schedule this December 2025.

For over 42 million Americans who rely on food assistance, this brings real relief after weeks of uncertainty.

What Happened?

During the shutdown, SNAP funding stalled, leading to delayed November payments.

Some states paid in full, others paid partially, and a few couldn’t issue anything at all.

Court orders, temporary fixes, and public pressure created even more confusion.

Everything shifted once President Donald Trump signed the funding bill, officially reopening the program and allowing normal operations to resume.
